How to get to us by public transport

The underground line U35 (direction Hustadt/Ruhr-Universität) is a fast and convenient way to get from Bochum Central Station to the University (about ten minutes). It runs every five minutes at peak times. You will need to buy an A-fare-ticket and stamp it before boarding (there are machines at the platform entrances).

How to get from the Ruhr-Universität underground station to our offices:

After exiting the station, turn right and cross the pedestrian bridge onto the university campus. Cross the campus keeping to the right (see dotted line). You will see the University Library on your left. Go down the stairs and turn right as soon as possible. Keep to the left and pass the campus store. Go down the next set of steps and you will see the GA building (the first tall building, yellow and black) and its entrance in front of you. Once inside, walk through the building (south side) and take one of the elevators on your right to the sixth floor. Room 51 is on the left.

How to get to us by car

The Ruhr area is well connected to the highway network, so you can reach the Ruhr-Universität Bochum quickly and easily by car. The most convenient route is via the Bochum/Witten motorway intersection (A43 and A44). Leave the A43 at junction 19 (Bochum-Querenburg) and follow the signs to the Ruhr-Universität.
